How to Get There

Kaharoa Forest is located off the Tauranga Direct Road via the Kaharoa turn-off, which is around 10.5km north of Ngongotaha. If searching by map, it is found at the ends of both Kaharoa and Kapukapu Road and is roughly halfway between Rotorua City and Te Puke.

The start of the Kaharoa Kōkako Track is located near the end of Kakapuku Road, about 500m past the shelter and car park (which is rapid number 796). Click here to get a pin on Google Maps with directions to the start of the track.
